Yesnull;null;wiz5,wiz4 Nonull;null;wiz6,wiz4 Restartnull;null;wiz1,wiz4Foreign currencyWhen you post a bank transfer between two foreign currency bank accounts, to ensure that the Trial Balance report balances in the base currency, Sage Accounts posts a revaluation journal. This journal posts with the software date rather than the transfer date. This is a known issue. For example, the software date is 01/11/2010 and you post a bank transfer dated 01/09/2010. When the transfer posts, the transactions posted to the bank accounts are dated in September but the revaluation journal is dated in November. This causes the Trial Balance report to be unbalanced for September and October. To prevent this happening in the future, change the software date to the transfer date before you post the transfer. If the transfer has already been posted you have three options: Option 1 - Do nothingIgnore the difference. The Trial Balance report will balance when you reach the revaluation date. Option 2 - Restore a backup taken before the transfer was posted- File > Restore > if prompted to close other windows > Yes > Browse > locate and select the backup prior to the bank transfer > Open > OK > Yes > OK.
- Settings > Change Program Date > if prompted to close other windows > Yes > change the software date to the date of the transfer.
- Post the bank transfer and any other transactions posted since the backup was made.
Option 3 - Reverse the transfer- Settings > Change Program Date > if prompted to close other windows > Yes > change the software date to the incorrect revaluation date > OK.
- Reverse the original transfer.
- Settings > Change Program Date > if prompted to close other windows > Yes > change the software date to the date of the original transfer > OK.
- Post the bank transfer again.
If you've not posted a bank transfer between two foreign currency bank accounts, click Next. Nextnull;null;wiz6,wiz5 Restartnull;null;wiz1,wiz5Clear audit trailIf the date you run the trial balance to is before the date for when the clear audit trail was run, this may cause the trial balance to be unbalanced. For example, the clear audit trail is cleared up to 31/12/2014, and you're running the trial balance up to a date before 31/12/2014. This is because, when you clear the audit trail, the balance of any transactions cleared are entered as an opening balance on the date the clear audit trail is run. Therefore, if you run a trial balance up to a date before this, these values are not included. How to check your last clear audit trail date: - Help > About > Configuration Information > Clear Audit Trail Date.
NOTE: This is the date for when the clear audit trail was last run. If you run the clear audit trail for a date, then run it for a earlier date, the date when it was last run shows here. Restartnull;null;wiz1,wiz6
