Flag a single record as inactive- Open the required module, for example Customers, Products or Bank accounts, then double-click the required record.
- Select the Inactive check box in the Account Details section, click Save then click Close.

Flag multiple records as inactive If you use Sage 50 Accounts Standard or Professional, you can use batch changes to flag multiple records as inactive at the same time. - Open the required module, for example Customers or Products, then click the required records.
NOTE: Nominal and Bank records can only be edited individually.

- Click Batch changes then select the Inactive check box in the Account Details section, click Save then click Close.

Remove inactive flag from a record- Open the required module, for example Customers, Products or Bank accounts.
- Select the required record and click New/Edit, clear the Inactive check box in the Account Details section, click Save, then click Close.
View or hide inactive records on your lists- Open the required module, for example Customers, Products or Bank accounts.
- Do one of the following:
- To see inactive accounts throughout the software, select the Include inactive check box.
- To hide inactive accounts in the relevant module and in record lists when posting transactions, invoices and orders, clear the check box.

TIP: In Sage 50 Accounts v28.1 and above, inactive records are also hidden from the ActiveSearch Popup lists.
