When flagging a bank account or nominal code as inactive, the following message may appear:

'This accounts could not be placed as inactive as:
1 - It is a ratio account.'

If you're using an early version of Sage 50 Accounts Essentials and Sage 50 Accounts Standard v24 the Ratio option is not available. This means you can't remove the account from the ratio table in order to flag it as inactive. However the Ratio option is now available in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Accounts Essentials v24.1

Install the latest Sage 50 Accounts v24 update

To enable the Ratio option in Sage 50 Accounts v24 you must install the latest Sage 50 Accounts v24 update.

Delete the account from the Ratio option

1. Click Nominal codes, then in the task bar click Ratio.
2. Click the required N/C Ref and click Delete then click Yes.
3. Click Save.
