'Unable to send all emails. Error with the address xxx: Unknown Error.' when integrating with Microsoft Exchange
Description

You may see the following messages when emailing a layout from your Sage software:

  • Error with the address xxx@xxx.xxx : Unknown Error. Please check Windows Event Log for more details
  • Unknown Error. Please check Windows Event Log for more details

This is due to Microsoft's announcement of the retirement of Basic Authentication Depreciation in Exchange Online, meaning the SMTP integration will generate the error. 

As a workaround, you can move to the on-premise version of Microsoft to continue emailing documents.
