My Sage - online administrator has left the business
Description

If your My Sage administrator has left, the steps depend on access to their login details, email mailbox etc.

Cause
Resolution

Generic My Sage log in email address used

If your email is generic, for example accounts@business.com, and is accessible, you can still use this as the online administrator.

TIP: If you're unsure of the password, you can easily reset this.

I know the online administrator login

You can use this login to assign administrator privileges to a new or existing user. You can then sign in as the new admin user and remove admin privileges from the user that has left.

  1.   If required, create a new user
  1.  Give an existing or new user online admin access
  1. Remove access from the old user

Have access to their email address

If you, or IT support, can access the email, you can reset their password. Then follow the steps above to transfer admin access to a different user.

No access to the online admin email or password

If you haven't got access to the old online admin email and don't know their password, contact support.

You'll be asked some additional security questions to proceed.
